GoCreate Taunton launches second pop-up at Orchard Shopping Centre

Following the success of its first pop-up gallery, GoCreate Taunton CIC is delighted to announce the opening of its second Pop-Up Art Gallery at Orchard Shopping Centre, from 10am on Saturday 3rd May 2025.

With the continued support of Estama, who manage The Orchard Centre, the new gallery showcases an exciting range of original works by eleven GoCreate members, featuring vibrant paintings, printing, sculpture, wood-turning, fine art prints, and handmade gifts – all inspired by creativity and originality.

GoCreate Taunton CIC, an award-winning creative community based at the Arts Hub in Somerset, has been helping people explore the arts, build skills, and grow in confidence since 2014 through workshops, education support, arts markets, and professional development programs.

The first Orchard Gallery, launched in September 2024, proved a huge success, not only providing a platform for local artists but also raising funds to support vital well-being workshops when other services had ended.

This second gallery promises a dynamic, studio-style atmosphere, with artists live-creating and demonstrating their techniques to the public every day and also throughout Somerset Art Weeks (SAW).

Looking ahead, GoCreate plans to collaborate with local colleges to launch an artistic mentoring programme, helping to support emerging talent and build a stronger, more vibrant creative community.

Even better every purchase makes a difference. The commission from artwork sales goes directly back to GoCreate to help subsidise creative workshops for children and adults in our community.

Support local art. Support local lives.

“We’re excited to open the doors again and welcome everyone to experience the creativity of our amazing members,” says Jenny Keogh, Director of GoCreate Taunton CIC. “Thanks to Estama’s support, we’re growing a real creative hub in the heart of Taunton” adds fellow Director Liz Hutchin.

Everyone is welcome at the pop-up gallery – come meet the artists, watch them at work, and discover a treasure trove of original art and gifts.
