Find an action-packed summer at Orchard
We’ve got something for everyone this summer at Orchard! With an event a month* between May and August, giant games to enjoy with family/friends throughout the summer months, plus live music and radio, there should be a brilliant buzz in the Pig Market/Old Market Square.
31st May sees the programme launch with free children’s entertainment, balloon modelling, magic, face painting, plus the start of live radio with Apple FM. They’ll be with us on event days throughout the summer (excluding 14th June). Times are 10am to 4pm for the events, 11am to 3pm for the face painter.
For 14th June – the day before Father’s Day – why not enjoy fantastic family activities together. Discover hidden artistic skills with family handprint designs, yours to make ‘n’ take, or work as a team with a bit of brick building! You can snap a selfie with your model masterpiece**… one for the memory box. This event will run between 11am and 3pm.
As the schools break up for summer, let the challenges begin! You can go crazy on 26th July between 10am and 4pm and pitch up with friends and family for a free game of golf! Overcome the obstacles on the 9-hole crazy golf course and create your own competition. Or, if you prefer, putt for fun!
We head off with the chance to scale the heights on our climbing wall between 10am and 4pm on 23rd August. With a range of routes to suit all abilities, plus the look, feel, and climb of a real rock, why not give yourself a challenge! You might want a mini challenge on the ‘fastest up the wall’ with friends/family too…
Whenever you’re with us this summer, there’s the perfect opportunity to take a break with friends and family for a bite to eat and drink or to visit the shops for a spot of retail therapy.
