A fantastic Fashion Fiesta!

The ‘red carpet’ was rolled for a second year running on 26th September, bringing Taunton a Fashion Fiesta.

This was a fabulous collaboration between Orchard Shopping Centre and Taunton College. The latter provided the students as models, for photography/videography, and ‘between the shows’ sessions on the stage and in Pig Market. Content included a Halloween make-up demonstration, exotic foods taste and smell challenge, sporting showdown, plus games, face painting, and storytelling from the early years team. The college potter had a stand and there was an exhibition of student art.

GoCreate provided two live artists outside their store and Rituals hosted a make-up demonstration on the stage.

In addition to students modelling creations from their college colleagues, Orchard brands who got involved to showcase the latest in autumn looks comprised Bliss, Crew Clothing, F.Hinds, HMV, Lovisa, New Look, Skechers, Fragrance Shop, Trespass, and Yours. The team at Zivile did an excellent job on hair and make-up, supported by students. Bright provided the stage/catwalk, sound, screen, and lighting, with Julio Dumar as our excellent compere.

With over 17,000 people passing through the centre on the day, we hope that everyone enjoyed the spectacle and maybe even browsed and bought from the lines that were showcased.
