Fantastic Family Activities at Orchard

We’re bringing you a summer of fun at Orchard Taunton! With an event each month* between June and August, plus a few special surprises popping up, you’re sure to find something to do for all the family!

Kicking off on 20th June, ahead of Father’s Day, we’ll be getting crafty with a fabulous footballing theme! Drop by, take a place at the craft tables and create your own football spinner, show off your design skills at footie-handprint art, and don’t forget to challenge friends and family at table football! It’s a make ‘n’ take for crafts – could these be the gift to give to your special someone on Father’s Day? We’ll also have our fabulous face painter with us, ready to score big with some footie themed designs! This event will run between 11am and 3pm.

From football to tennis, with cycling sport thrown in, we’re marking ladies finals day at Wimbledon on 11th July with a smoothie bike challenge! Between 10am and 4pm, head in-centre and harness your pedal power to see how fast you can cycle to make a smoothie**! Why not time yourself against your companions? The best bit is that you get to drink what you make…

We’ll be topping and tailing August, with events on Saturdays 8th and 29th. The first date sees the return of our popular petting farm where you can get up close with amazing animals including mini ponies, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. This will be in Pig Market between 11am and 3pm. Get into gear for 29th August, ready to test your skills in our twin cockpit race car simulators^. This features a choice of racing car games…who will you ‘pit your wits’ against, and can you head our leader board?

Join us in Pig Market and Centre Square. Our events are free to take part, but we welcome donations to our Community Interest Company of the year, The MAD Hub. They will be performing at some of our events.

Whenever you’re with us this summer, there’s also the chance to relax, enjoy a bite to eat and drink, or to discover what’s new and trending in our stores.
