Taunton Town Football Club Lion Trail
Between Friday 5th June and Friday 14th August, Taunton town centre will come alive with a pride of 48 Lions prowling in shop windows from the Station to East Reach, from Bath Place to the Independent Quarter.
Each Lion represents a country taking part in the FIFA World Cup 2026, all painted by young local art students from the age of 7 to 19.
Local businesses – including Orchard Shopping Centre – are hosting a Lion in what is an exciting celebration of international football. The centre’s Lion is for Panama.
In addition to the overall shopping centre, Lions can be found at BYD, Ginger & Pink, GoCreate, Hotel Chocolat, Lovisa, Miles Morgan, Mr Miles, and The Chapel Tap.

There is a competition is to find 10 of the lions, as per instructions on the front page of the Lion Trail Map. The official end of the trail will be a charity football match on 23 September at the Taunton Town ground, in aid of the Barnaby Webber Foundation. The lions will be auctioned at the match, with proceeds going to BWF.
