Waterstones Children’s Book Festival

Following the enormous success of the 2025 inaugural Waterstones Children’s Book Festival, Waterstones’ celebration of the magic of children’s literature returns in 2026. Coming to Taunton from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 May and jam-packed with author events, workshops, activities and more, book your tickets now for a truly unmissable event.

In addition, the Taunton store will be running storytime sessions, along with some Gruffalo based activities across Friday and Saturday (11am and 3:30pm) and on Sunday they’ll also be joined for these by Makaton Tutor Jennie (11am and 3:30pm). The Gruffalo will be making an appearance at each of these sessions.
